Actually, the reason you don’t talk directly into the mic is because P’s and B’s create a pocket of air that makes the noise. But that usually only happens on cheaper microphones. That look like an EV-RE20. Thos are really good quailty mics and they usually don’t pick up the pockets as much, also that’s what the windscreen is on the mic for. When you turn the mic it sometimes makes it harder to pick you up and you really have to turn yourself up since the mic doesn’t pick you up on the side.
