   What you hear is not a Theremin, it is a reproduction of Paul Tanner’s first Electro-Theremin. This reproduction of the Electro-Theremin was made expressly for the Fendertones for this performance. It is the only known faithful reproduction, using the exactly the same period electronics as the original. The original was probably cannibalized to make Paul’s second Electro-Theremin, also believed to have been destroyed.
